History

Originally founded as Network Services Group in 1991 with the objective to develop and provide Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) services, the company has been able to establish a reputation for solid telecommunication engineering expertise. Using an acquisition strategy, NSG has been able to increase its in house expertise with the ownership of many 'technology firsts' in the industry. These include the first truly integrated data switching, and packetized voice technologies from Netrix which were incorporated into products used to build some of the first Voice over Frame Relay (VoFR) and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) networks. Enhanced IP routing capabilities were acquired from Proteon which was the first U.S. router company and inventor of OSPF. Other acquisitions have included Frederick Electronics, Assured Digital Inc. (ADI), Dynetcom (formerly Dynatech Communications) and Advanced Switching Communications, a manufacturer of broadband access products. Based on our solid technology background and Engineering expertise NSG is very well placed to offer development and manufacturing services together with a field proven range of data and voice communication platforms that meet the demands of today's converging and consolidating telecommunications markets.
